Freedom Robotics initially focused on providing developer tooling for robotics startups. While they saw 30% month-over-month growth in customer signups, a cohort analysis revealed that these early-stage customers weren’t scaling their robotic fleets. The issue wasn’t the demand for robotics but rather that these innovative startups didn’t fully understand the value they could provide to their end users.

Instead of waiting for these startups to refine their robots and eventually secure deals with major companies, we pivoted Freedom to go directly to enterprise customers—manufacturers and logistics providers—where the value of robotic fleet management was immediate and mission-critical. This shift unlocked significant growth potential and positioned Freedom for long-term success.

We led the strategic transformation of Freedom Robotics by replatforming their backend system and scaling their engineering and design teams. Key improvements included:

• Pivot to Enterprise: Shifted focus from startups to enterprise customers, such as large manufacturers, with mission-critical robotic fleet needs.
• Hybrid On-Prem and Cloud Infrastructure: Rebuilt the backend to support mission-critical factory operations, utilizing a hybrid cloud and on-prem system to ensure uptime and reliability.
